La "incompleta" transformación del FSLN

Abstract

[ES] El presente artículo examina la transformación organizativa sufrida por el FSLN en la década de los noventa, como consecuencia del nuevo contexto político e institucional abierto en Nicaragua tras las elecciones del 25 de febrero de 1990. Su objetivo es explicar por qué el FSLN transformó su ordenamiento organizativo y no su liderazgo a la luz de tres grandes factores explicativos: la dinámica organizacional intrapartidaria, el legado organizativo y las características ambientales del nuevo entomo político competitivo. El análisis demuestra, en este sentido, la posibilidad de entender el cambio en el partido sandinista como el resultado de la combinación tanto de factores endógenos como exOgenos.

[EN] The article examines the organizational transformation suffered by the FSLN in the '90s, as a consequence of the new political and institutional context opened up in Nicaragua after the elections that took place on February 25''', 1990. The article's main objective is to explain the reasons why the FSLN transformed its organizational order but not its leadership on the light of three main explicative factors: the organizational dynamic to the party's interior, the organizational legacy and the environmental characteristics of the new competitive context. The analysis shows the possibility of understanding the Sandinista's party change as a result of the combination of both endogenous and exogenous factors.
