La estética, clave del 98. Un diálogo generacional

Abstract

[ES] El artículo intenta recuperar una de las claves que nos ofrece la generación del 98, la de la estética, ignorada por el habitual tratamiento de «fuentes» o desfigurada por los filtros generacionales. No se trata sólo de una «sensibilidad negativa », como afirma Ortega y Gasset, sino del «pesimismo de los fuertes» en sentido nietzscheano. Con la indagación estética de una «filosofía de nuestra alma» se está elaborando un estilo filosófico espariol, que tiene su expresión en los textos pictóricos narrativos.

[EN] This article attempts to recover one of the keys of the Generation of 98, that of aesthetics, which has either been ignored by the usual treatment of »sources» or disfigured by generational filters. It is not only a matter of »negative sensibility», as Ortega y Gasset affirmecl, but rather of the »pessimism of the strong» in the Nietzschean sense. With the aesthetic inquiry of a »philosophy of our soul», a Spanish philosophical style was being elaborated, which had its expression in pictorial narrative texts.
