Niebla y El Quijote (Otra vez)

Abstract

[ES] El Quijote y Niebla tienen en común más que una serie de técnicas narrativas. Comparten también caracterizaciones, estructuras, enfoques y elementos estilísticos muy parecidos. El que no percibe en la nivola sus muchos intertextos con la obra maestra de Cervantes no puede apreciar los guiños y otros encantos del vanguardismo sonriente de Unamuno. El vaguardismo, existencialismo y humor corrosivo de Unamuno se hacen inmediatamente más suaves y humanistas en su rica ambientación cervantina.

[EN] Don Quixote and Niebla have in common more than a series of technical devices. They also share similar characterizations, structures, focuses, and stylistic elements. Anyone who does not perceive in the nivola its many intertexts with Cervantes’s masterwork cannot appreciate the winks and other enchantments of Unamuno’s vanguardism. The vanguardism, existentialism, and corrosive humor of Unamuno become at once softer and more humanistic in their rich Cervantine ambience.
