La presencia de la mujer griega en la sociedad: democracia y tragedia

Abstract

RESUMEN: A partir de una afirmación de Ana Iriarte, se considera que la historia de las relaciones de género debe enfocarse como parte de una historia sexuada de las sociedades. Así, el papel de la mujer en el oíkos forma parte de la sociedad de la polis, donde destacan la reproducción y la prostitución. Las contradicciones entre lo positivo y lo negativo de sus papeles justifican que el hombre ateniense haya feminizado los aspectos contradictorios de la sociedad en que vive, principalmente a través de la tragedia de época democrática.

ABSTRACT: Based on a statement by Ana Iriarte, it is considered that the history of gender relations should be approached as part of the sexualized history of societies. Thus, the role of women in the otkos formed part of the polis society, where reproduction and prostitution were very important.
