De Argentina a España: historias vividas e intercambios imaginados en las migraciones recientes

Abstract

[ES]Al tomar las migraciones recientes de argentinos hacia España (ca. 1999-2005) como objeto de estudio, esta tesis pretende leerlas como parte de un proceso histórico de creación de espacios sociales y simbólicos transnacionales que recalan tanto en origen como en destino. Los objetivos específicos –interpretaciones científicas, experiencias personales y representaciones sociales- vienen marcados por tres “niveles” de análisis de la realidad socio-histórica. Primero, se analiza la producción bibliográfica sobre migraciones y exilios entre Argentina y España, y se revisan los principales aportes a la teoría de espacios transnacionales. Segundo, se observa el proceso migratorio como historia narrada desde la subjetividad de los protagonistas y de sus percepciones de lo vivido, utilizando los testimonios orales de migrantes argentinos radicados en Madrid. Tercero, se indaga en el plano de las representaciones sociales generadas sobre este proceso y que, a su vez, inciden sobre él: por un lado, se analiza el discurso público producido por la prensa escrita argentina y española acerca de la migración de argentinos hacia España; por otro lado, se enfocan un conjunto de miradas sobre la migración argentina actual que ofrecen cineastas en producciones argentino-españolas.

[EN]This Ph. Dissertation has assumed recent migration from Argentina to Spain (ca. 1999-2005) as an object of investigation itself. It has been understood as part of an historical process which generates transnational social and symbolic spaces, both in origin and in destination. The specific aims –scientific interpretations, personal experiences and social representations- are influenced by three levels of analysis of the socio-historical reality. Firstly, we have analyzed the bibliographical production regarding Migration and Exile among Argentina and Spain, and we have reviewed the main contributions on the Transnational Spaces theory. Secondly, we have observed the Migration Process as a subjective story told by its protagonists and their perceptions about it. For that purpose, we have used the oral testimonies of Argentinean migrants living in Madrid. Thirdly, we have investigated the social representations which have appeared about this process; reality which, at the same time, influences on it. On the one hand, we have examined the public discourse generated by Argentinean and Spanish press in Argentina and Spain respectively about the referred migrations. On the other hand, we have paid attention to a myriad of interpretations about those movements, appeared in several Argentinean-Spanish movie productions.
