Abstract

[ES]En esta tesis se estudia a Alfonso X, su ideal y su realidad política dentro del contexto de la Cristiandad occidental durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIII. Es fundamental comparar y entender sus acciones y pensamientos dentro de este marco, así como sus relaciones con otros representantes de la cristiandad que también tienen un papel a desempeñar en ese mundo cruzado europeo. Todo ello nos llevará, también, a estudiar las respuestas de los otros líderes de la cristiandad al fenómeno cruzado; tanto desde la perspectiva de los reinos peninsulares como la de los estados más allá de los Pirineos. Todo lo cual constituye nuestro cuarto actor, es decir, el contexto internacional.

[EN]This thesis studied Alfonso X, the ideal and political reality within the context of Western Christianity during the second half of the thirteenth century. It is essential to compare and understand their thoughts and actions within this framework and its relations with other representatives of Christianity also have a role to play in that world cross-European.
