La integración de las mujeres en la masonería española a través del rito de adopción (1868- 1939)

Abstract

RESUMEN: La masonería de Adopción o masonería femenina nació en Francia en 1774 como una fórmula para permitir la iniciación de mujeres y, por lo tanto, evitar la prohibición que las Constituciones de Anderson (1723) habían establecido al respecto. En España los primeros reglamentos y rituales de Adopción fueron publicados a finales del siglo XIX, muy influidos por el modelo francés. A partir de entonces, las iniciaciones de mujeres procuraron ajustarse a la legalidad masónica, lo que provocó una segregación que en ocasiones fue contestada desde las propias logias. A pesar de todo, en términos generales la masonería femenina fue aceptada puesto que, aunque tibia, suponía una forma de integrar a la mujer en el proyecto social que defendían. ABSTRACT: The Masonry of Adoption or feminine Masonry was born in France in 1774 like a formula to allow the initiation of women and, therefore, to avoid the prohibition that Anderson’s Constitutions (1723) they had settled down in this respect. In Spain the first regulations and rituals of Adoption were published at the end of the XIX century, very influenced by the French pattern. Starting from then, the initiations of women tried to be adjusted to the Masonic legality, what caused a segregation that was answered from the own lodges in occasions. In spite of everything, in general terms the feminine Masonry was accepted since, although tibia, supposed a form of integrating the woman in the social project that they defended.
