Filosofía y vida: el itinerario filosófico de José Vasconcelos

Abstract

[ES] En el presente trabajo de investigación se plantean las relaciones intrínsecas entre la biografía y el sistema filosófico de uno de los pensadores latinoamericanos más sobresalientes del siglo XX: José Vasconcelos (1882-1959).

Para esto, el estudio se apoya, por un lado, en la idea de la biografía filosófica, en tanto que subgénero de la Historia de la Filosofía; y, por otro, en algunas ideas de la teoría de las generaciones de Ortega y Gasset, así como en algunas otras de la hermenéutica analógica de Mauricio Beuchot.

A partir de éstas, se propone una reconstrucción de su biografía y al mismo tiempo una interpretación de sus ideas filosóficas en las distintas etapas de su vida: Años de formación (1882-1910), donde prevalecen el cristianismo de su madre y el positivismo del sistema educativo mexicano; Las mocedades (1910-1924), cuando participa en la sucesión del positivismo al espiritualismo junto con los miembros del Ateneo de la Juventud, participa en la Revolución Mexicana, publica los primeros esbozos de las ideas claves de su sistema filosófico (el monismo estético, la revulsión de la energía, la teoría del mestizaje y la ley de los tres estados de la sociedad), hace importantes reformas a la educación y destacan sus ideas sobre Latinoamérica; La madurez plena (1925-1938), en la que sobresalen su candidatura a la presidencia, sus exilios y la elaboración de su sistema filosófico que se compone en una metafísica, desde un punto de vista intelectualista, una ética y una estética; y, finalmente, La senectud (1938-1959), en la que regresa a México, se dedica a algunas labores culturales (dirigir bibliotecas y promover los estudios filosóficos), replantear algunas ideas (filosóficas, religiosas y políticas) y la parte final de su sistema: la Todología.

[EN] In the present research raises the intrinsic relationship between biography and philosophical system of one of the most outstanding American thinkers of the twentieth century: José Vasconcelos (1882-1959).

For this, the study relies on the one hand, the idea of philosophical biography, as a subgenus of the History of Philosophy, and, secondly, some ideas of the theory of generations of Ortega y Gasset, as well as some other analog of hermeneutics Beuchot Mauritius.

From these, we propose a reconstruction of his biography and also an interpretation of his philosophical ideas in the different stages of life: Formative Years (1882-1910), a prevalence of Christianity of his mother and positivism Mexican education system; The mocedades (1910-1924), when participating in the succession of positivism spiritualism along with members of the Ateneo de la Juventud, participates in the Mexican Revolution, published the first outlines of the key ideas of his philosophical system (aesthetic monism, the revulsion of energy, fusion theory and the law of the three states of society), makes important reforms to education and highlight their ideas on Latin America, the full maturity (1925-1938), in projecting his candidacy for president, his exile and the development of his philosophical system which consists in a metaphysical, from an intellectual standpoint, ethics and aesthetics, and ultimately, the senescence (1938-1959), in which returns to Mexico, is dedicated to some cultural practices (leading library and promote the study of philosophy), rethink some ideas (philosophical, religious and political) and the final part of your system: the methodology.
