El ŷihād: teoría jurídica y praxis en el mundi islámico actual

Abstract

[EN]A historical review about the yihad term, understood as “holy war” during the Middle Ages, is made after defining the concept of yihad. We examine the theory (following the teachings of al-Mawdudi and Sayyid Qutb) and the praxis in our days; emphasizing its acceptation by the different fundamentalist Islamic groups; situation that is related to extremist movements as old as the Islam itself. [ES] Después de definir el concepto de yihad, se hace un sucinto repaso histórico sobre la evolución de la teoría del yihad, entendido como “guerra santa”, en las edades medias. Enseguida se pasa a examinar la teoría (siguiendo los planteamientos de al-Mawdudi y Sayyid Qutb) y la práctica de la misma en época contemporánea, poniendo de relieve su aceptación por diferentes grupos fundamentalistas islámicos; cosa que entronca con corrientes, más o menos radicales, tan antiguas como el propio islam.
