Resumen
[ES] El ensayo muestra como el teatro en Sudáfrica durante los años del aparteid cumplía diferentes funciones, todas ellas sociales y políticas puesto que todas sus obras tenían a la comunidad negra como la principal protagonista ya que su participación era fundamental en la representación de dichas obras.
[EN] This essay shows how theatre in South Africa during the years of apartheid served different social and political functions since all the theatre plays of the time had the Black community as the main character since its active participation was essential in the performance of all productions.
