Giner Abati, Francisco Celador, Rafael Carstens, Carolina 2012 Trabajo Fin de Master Curso 2011-2012 [ES]En la presente investigación se planteó como objetivo describir aquellas conductas y conocimientos de mujeres jóvenes españolas y chilenas respecto de VPH y en general sobre salud sexual y reproductiva responsable. Así, se busca identificar aspectos psicosociales que pudiesen influenciar en las diferentes tendencias epidemiológicas presentadas por Chile y España, que no son explicables desde lo biomédico, si se considera que ambos países se encuentran en condiciones equivalentes respecto de tecnología médica, diagnóstico y tratamiento. La investigación se enmarcó dentro del enfoque de la Antropología Médica y la Epidemiología Sociocultural, y para aproximarse al terreno se utilizaron tanto métodos cualitativos como cuantitativos, con técnicas de producción de datos y análisis pertinentes. Se realizaron entrevistas cualitativas a ocho mujeres chilenas y españolas de entre 18 y 29 años de edad, y se aplicó una encuesta cuantitativa a 338 mujeres de las mismas características. A través de la comparación y la descripción se logró identificar similitudes y diferencias que fueron expuestas en los resultados y la conclusión. Thus, it seeks to identify psychosocial issues that may influence the different epidemiological trends by Chile and Spain, which aren´t explainable from the biomedical model, considering that both countries have equivalent medical technology, diagnosis and treatment.
