[EN]The paper examines the intellectual life in Cuba since the revolution of 1959 to the late 60s. It analyzes the definition of the intellectuals and artists according to the ideas shown in the Salon de Mayo and the Congreso Cultural de La Havana. It begins with a review of the international and Cuban sociopolitical context.
