El siguiente artículo, que indaga en una capa de la investigación literaria y del acceso a los libros habitualmente dejada de lado en los estudios culturales y literarios, trata de ofrecer respuestas tentativas a estas preguntas. Para ello, realizo una aproximación crítica a la disciplina de la «Lingüística documental» y sus procesos de «organización racional» y «normalización», entendiéndola como una especialización científica de la sensibilidad del humanismo ilustrado. A continuación, me encargo de unos casos de estudio a partir de los catálogos digitales de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, la Universidad de Princeton y WorldCat, a partir de los cuales muestro las limitaciones que el sistema de los «lenguajes controlados» plantea para todas aquellas experiencias de lectura y escritura divergentes con respecto de una hegemonía dada. Por último, propongo abrir los catálogos a la tecnología OCR, como una posible alternativa a las exclusiones que el actual sistema por materias plantea. [EN]What is the problem that digital catalogues pose for the humanities? Where does it come from? How can we solve it? The following article deals with a layer of literary studies and access to books that is not usually accounted for: their classification and its limitations. I aim to offer some tentative answers to the questions raised. To this end, I critically approach the rationalizing and normalizing principles of the discipline of «Documentation Science», giving an account of it as a scientific specialization of the sensitivity proper to the Enlightment humanism. Next, I offer some case studies using the digital catalogues of the Complutense University of Madrid, Princeton University and WorldCat. With these examples, I show that the «controlled languages» of the libraries limit divergent and radical experiences of writing and reading in unethical ways.
