[EN]A large amount of astronomical data indicates the presence of mass discrepancies
in the Universe or, alternatively, physical mechanisms beyond the well-known classical
dynamics. The observed velocities in a variety of extragalactic systems exceed what can
be explained by the visible mass in stars and gas. Either (i) there is a significant amount
of invisible mass in some novel form (dark matter) or (ii) there is a collapse of our
understanding of dynamics at the relevant scales. In this work, we will first review some
outstanding challenges for the interpretation of dark matter from mass discrepancies in
galaxies, based solely on observations. Then we will thoroughly review the observational
successes and problems of the Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) model across
all astrophysical scales. Finally, we will construct astrometric catalogs to reflect the
observations of a future satellite and understand whether they can be useful or not in
detecting a MOND signature.
