<dcterms:abstract>[EN]The ΛCDM concordance model relies on dark energy to explain the accelerating expansion
of the Universe. Despite the accomplishments of this model, its observational discrepancies on
the galactic and subgalactic scales and the unknown nature of dark energy justify the search
for alternative models such as the modified gravity theories. In the present project, the effects
that a modification on the Newtonian gravitational potential would have on precession and
orbit parameters of a binary astrophysical system on the weak field limit have been studied.
Therefore, analytical and numerical methods have been employed, obtaining these parameters
for a generic gravitational potential using a quasi-Newtonian approach, later particularized
for the Yukawa potential, a correction that arises naturally in 𝑓 (𝑅)-gravity models. It has
been shown that under certain conditions on the scale length and strength of this correction,
Keplerian orbits with precession motions can be obtained. Furthermore, bounds on the strength
of the Yukawa correction have been placed in the range [1.798; 1.822]×10−7
for an approximated
scale legth value of 𝜆 = 4 500 AU. These values have been applied to our analytical expression
of the precession to compare our results with the results predicted by General Relativity.</dcterms:abstract>
