development. This study examines the significance of sleep during the early childhood period, with the primary objective of
elucidating	its	role	in	the	developmental	processes	of	children	between	the	ages	of	0	and	6.
To	this	end,	a	comprehensive	literature	review	has	been	conducted,	examining	the	impact	of	sleep	on	children's	comprehensive
development,	with	a	particular	focus	on	its	influence	on	academic	performance,	emotional	regulation,	and	behavior.	Furthermore,
the typical	sleep	patterns	observed	during	this	developmental	period	have	been	examined,	and	the	various	potential	factors	that
may	influence	children's	sleep,	including	physical	activity,	sedentary	lifestyle,	and	socioeconomic	status,	have	been	identified.
The results demonstrate the	impact of positive sleep habits on optimal development	and highlight the pivotal role of families,
educators,	and	child	health	professionals	in	this	process.	While	school-based	interventions	are	valuable,	this	study	also	emphasizes
the	identification	of	practical	strategies	to	promote	healthy	sleep	from	an	early	age.	Consequently,	several	recommendations	are
provided	that	can	enhance	the	quality	of	sleep	within	the	educational	context.
