[EN] The main objective of this doctoral dissertation is to offer an annotated translation of
Bahjat al-nāzirīn wa-uns al-'ārifin, a hagiographical work written by al-Zammūrī at the
end of the 8th/14th century. It is framed in a broader study on the literary genre of manāqib
in al-Maghrib al-Aqṣā and al-Andalus, which experienced significant development and
gained considerable importance between the 12th and 14th centuries.
Through various stories about the Banu Amgār—the Sharifian family of saints to whom
this work is dedicated the author offers valuable insights into the popular religiosity of
Morocco from the 10th to the 14th centuries. These awliyā' Allah founded one of the first
Maghrebi ribāts, whose teachings persisted through their many disciples.
