Tur, Cristina Collocations Semantic compositionality Embodiment Conceptual metaphor Conceptual metonymy Collocations form a heterogeneous continuum from free combinations of words to idioms in which expressions with different degrees of fixation and compositionality can be found. This paper reflects, from a Cognitive point of view, on those collocational expressions which are on the borderline with phraseology.
