Salida de campo a orillas del Canal de Castilla a su paso por Valladolid, el 6 de septiembre de 1951, de la que se anotaron observaciones sobre algunos Pelobates cultripes (Sapo de espuelas) y las siguientes aves: Acrocephalus sp. (Carricerín, posiblemente A.schoenobaenus o A.scirpaceus), Anthus sp. (Bisbita, probablemente A.campestris), Apus apus (Vencejo común), Athene noctua (Mochuelo europeo), Coturnix coturnix (Codorniz común), Falco subbuteo (Alcotán), Falco tinnunculus (Cernícalo vulgar), Ficedula hypoleuca (Papamoscas cerrojillo, llamado Muscicapa hypoleuca por el autor), Galerida sp. (Cogujada), Hirundo rustica (Golondrina común), Lanius senator (Alcaudón común), Picus viridis (Pito real), Streptopelia sp. (Tórtola) y Upupa epops (Abubilla).
Field trip on the banks of the Canal de Castilla passing through Valladolid, the 6th of september of 1951, of which there were noted observations about some Pelobates cultripes (Western Spadefoot) and the following birds: Acrocephalus sp. (Warbler, possibly A.schoenobaenus or A.scirpaceus), Anthus sp. (Pipit, possibly A. campestris), Apus apus (Common Swift), Athene noctua (Little Owl), Coturnix coturnix (Common Quail), Falco subbuteo (Eurasian Hobby), Falco tinnunculus (Common Kestrel), Ficedula hypoleuca (European Pied Flycatcher, refered as Muscicapa hypoleuca by the author), Galerida sp. (Lark), Hirundo rustica (Barn Swallow), Lanius senator (Woodchat Shrike), Picus viridis (Eurasian Green Woodpecker), Streptopelia sp. (Turtle-dove) and Upupa epops (Eurasia Hoopoe).
