La tendencia, nacida en el seno de la escuela de Annales, tuvo un considerable éxito en el último cuarto del siglo XX, y aunque se ha resentido a raíz de la crisis de la historia de las mentalidades, la producción historiográfica sobre la materia sigue aumentando en la actualidad. [EN] The purpose of the present article is to offer an analytic revision of the historiography focused on the theme of the so-called «history of death», concentrating mainly on the studies dealing with the medieval period.
