Estas son en realidad las tres bases sobre las que se asienta la organización política del reino visigodo en la Península. ABSTRACT: This paper is aimed at the characterisation of the relationships between the episcopal and civil powers, the latter consisting of both the king and the aristocracy. Such relations are reflected in the royal intervention in councils, the establishment of a legislative body for the Visigothic Spain, and the Aula Regia; actually, these are the three main bases upon which the political organisation of the peninsular Visigothic kingdom is laid.
