[ES] El presente estudio se centra en los procesos de aculturación e identidad
étnica que están desarrollando los alumnos inmigrantes en la provincia de
Salamanca, así como las actitudes hacia la inmigración de sus compañeros
autóctonos, en relación con las variables psicosociales: el conocimiento
intercultural, la empatía, las habilidades sociales, la autoestima, el clima de clase y
la adaptación personal y social. El objetivo principal de la investigación es describir
el proceso de adaptación del alumnado inmigrante y que aspectos son útiles para la
intervención educativa. Se parte de un marco teórico que fundamenta la
aculturación y la identidad étnica y se inclina por la perspectiva de Berry, 1990.
Además clarifica conceptos como el prejuicio, el racismo y la xenofobia, las
actitudes y el cambio actitudinal. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo y explicativo
que, para evitar sesgos, se sirve tanto de una metodología cuantitativa como
cualitativa. El análisis cuantitativo utiliza la comparación de medias con las
principales variables analizando primero las muestras de españoles e inmigrantes
por separado y después conjuntamente. Esta parte se complementa con una
metodología cualitativa de análisis de contenido de entrevistas aplicadas tanto a los
alumnos inmigrantes, para averiguar su apreciación del nuevo país y sus
expectativas de futuro; como a sus profesores–tutores, para observar su actitud hacia
la diversidad y el proceso de adaptación percibido de sus alumnos. Los sujetos eran
alumnos de 12 Centros educativos y fueron repartidos en dos muestras, una con
alumnos autóctonos (N1: 516) y otra con alumnos inmigrantes (N2: 73) en un total
de 589 adolescentes. Los resultados arrojan datos, por un lado, sobre los procesos de
aculturación e identidad étnica, donde la integración es mayoritaria y tanto las
expectativas de futuro como la apreciación subjetiva del país de acogida son
positivas, a pesar de cierto rechazo. Por otro lado, las actitudes de los profesores y
las de los alumnos españoles hacia la inmigración son muy favorables. Estos
factores se asocian, en mayor o menor medida, con variables psicosociales:
conocimiento intercultural, empatía, habilidades sociales y autoestima, variables
modificables y útiles para que la intervención educativa contribuya a la integración.
[EN] This study focuses on the processes of acculturation and identity
ethnic immigrant students are developing in the province

factors associated to a greater or lesser extent with psychosocial variables:
intercultural awareness, empathy, social skills and self-variables
modifiable and useful to the educational intervention contribute to integration.
