RESUMEN: El autor del presente trabajo, a través del estudio de evidencias literarias y arqueológicas, considera una realidad palpable que este centro urbano de tiempos romanos se convertirá en un núcleo de población autárquico, autónomo e independiente desde una época relativamente temprana (ss. I-III).
ABSTRACT: The author of the present work, through the study of literary and archaelogical evidence, concludes that this urban centre of Roman times became a nucleus of autarchic, autonomous and independent population during a relatively early period (1st to 3rd centuries).
