[EN]This article expounds the different
attitudes shown by two medieval translators
when rendering into Spanish the Botanic
terminology included in the same work,
originally written in Latin; the reason for this
diversity is attributed to the different date of
the translations and, mainly, to the sources
available to the authors, both the source texts
and the glossaries probably used.
[ES]Este artículo expone dos diferentes actitudes de dos traductores medievales de la misma obra latina al trasladar al castellano la terminología botánica; la razón se atribuye a la distinta fecha en que se hicieron las traducciones y, sobre todo, a las fuentes de las que dispusieron sus autores, tanto en lo que se refiere a los textos fuente como a los posibles glosarios de los que se sirvieron.
