La edición por Pugliese Carratelli de las inscripciones de Hagia Triada ha puesto en manos de los especialistas en epigrafía minoica un instrumento de trabajo tan maravilloso que gracias a él. la fase de escritura lineal A es, dentro de la evolución de la escritura cretense, la que mayores posibilidades brinda al investigador: en primera línea, las de un estudio comparativo entre las partes homologas de las distintas tabletas—acudiendo en cada caso a las conocidas de la clase lineal B y al resto de las inscripciones A—, más tarde, a medida que el desciframiento progrese —y bien puede creerse que esta expresión encierra algo más que un buen deseo—, la sustitución de las formas giamaticales resueltas y de los topónimos y antropónimos descifrados desvelará gradualmente la imagen completa de tales documentos.
