Se consultaron las bases de datos PsycInfo y PubMed en el periodo comprendido entre 2000 y 2016. Las investigaciones incluidas fueron publicaciones empíricas, de cualquier diseño y medición, todos en lengua inglesa. De cada trabajo se extrajeron las muestras, el diseño, variables, métodos de medición, tipos de herramienta, resultados y límites. Los resultados del análisis de los 12 estudios incluidos en esta revisión mostraban la relación entre estilos de humor y satisfacción marital. Otras variables investigadas estaban generalmente relacionadas con el estrés, los conflictos de comunicación, pareja y las funciones del humor. Entre todos los estudios incluidos, sólo dos eran diseños basados en experimentos. Es necesario avanzar en estos estudios de aproximación a la evaluación del sentido de humor sentido y percibido en parejas para llegar a conclusiones más exhaustivas. [ES] The present study aims to study the role of humor in the context of romantic relationships in the recently researched literature, in order to provide relevant information for future directions of study. The databases PsycInfo and PubMed were consulted in the period between 2000 and 2016. The investigations included were empirical publications of any design and measurement, all in the English language. Samples, design, variables, methods of measurement, tool types, results and limits were extracted from each work. The results of the analysis of the 12 studies included in this review showed the relationship between mood styles and marital satisfaction. Other variables investigated were generally related to stress, communication conflicts, partner and mood functions. Among all included studies, only two were experimental designs. It is necessary to advance in these studies of approach to the evaluation of the sense of humor felt and perceived in pairs to arrive at more exhaustive conclusions.
