Resumen de tesis. De Monteas y Cantería. De la teoría de la práctica a la práctica de la teoría

Abstract

[ES] El presente estudio parte de la siguiente premisa: el Arte de la Montea y el Arte de la Cantería son dos entes indisociables de la arquitectura en piedra en sus dos vertientes, la teórica y la práctica. Así pues, esta investigación ha girado en torno a esos dos grandes ejes: teoría y praxis arquitectónicas. En esta línea, se ha realizado un análisis de la tratadística relacionada con el tema, concentrando los esfuerzos en aquellos tratados o cuadernos de cantería redactados en España durante el siglo XVI y en torno al año 1600, un total de siete obras. Primero estudiadas de manera independiente para después comparar los contenidos teóricos entre ellos tratando de observar sus similitudes, diferencias y si los autores abordaban los problemas canteriles de distintas formas. Además, se ha incluido un repertorio de monteas, trazas y grafitos localizados en algunos de los edificios pétreos más significativos de cuatro ciudades de gran relevancia en España: Salamanca, Jaén, Cuenca y La Vid (Burgos). Asimismo, en algunos casos ha sido posible localizar la correspondencia real construida con respecto al trazado localizado. Por otro lado, en ciertas ocasiones se ha podido comprobar la dimensión teórica de esos rasguños poniéndolos en comparación con la tratadística conservada. [EN] This study is based on the following premise: the art of the montea and the art of stonemasonry are two inseparable entities of stone architecture in its two aspects, the theoretical and the practical. Therefore, this research has revolved around these two main axes: architectural theory and praxis. In this respect, an analysis of the treatises related to the subject has been carried out, concentrating the efforts on those treatises or stonemasonry workbooks written in Spain during the 16th century and around 1600. That is, a total of seven writings. These works have been studied independently in order to compare the theoretical contents between them, trying to observe their similarities, differences and the different ways in which the authors approached the problems related to the stonemasonry trade. In addition, a catalogue of monteas , traces and graphites found in some of the most significant stone buildings in Salamanca, Jaén, Cuenca and La Vid (Burgos) has been included. In some cases, it has been possible to find the built object that corresponds to the tracing located. Also, on certain occasions, it has been possible to verify the theoretical dimension of these scratches by comparing them with the preserved treatises.
