Traducción comentada inglés-español de fragmentos de un libro sobre educación canina: Click to Calm: Healing the Aggressive Dog

Abstract

[SP] Siempre se dice que el perro es el mejor amigo del hombre. Hoy más que nunca cumplen distintas funciones en nuestra sociedad, aunque la principal y primordial es la de animal de compañía. El adiestramiento con clicker es una de las muchas herramientas que nos permite mantener esta relación simbiótica, pero se trata de una técnica que no ha llegado a llenar las librerías en el mercado hispanohablante. Por ello, consideramos interesante explorar esta área divulgativa y traducir unos fragmentos del libro Click to Calm: Healing the Aggresive Dog (2004) de la adiestradora Emma Parsons. A través de la aplicación de modelos reconocidos en el ámbito de la traductología hemos podido traducir dichos fragmentos y crear un pequeño glosario terminológico

[EN] It is always said that the dog is man's best friend. Today more than ever they fulfil different roles in our society, although the main one is that of a pet. Clicker training is one of the many tools that allow us to maintain this symbiotic relationship, but it is a technique that has not yet fully reached bookstores in the Spanish-speaking market. For this reason, we thought it would be interesting to explore this informative area and translate some excerpts from the book Click to Calm: Healing the Aggressive Dog (2004) by the dog trainer Emma Parsons. Through the application of recognized models in the field of Translation studies we have been able to translate them and create a small terminological glossary.
