[ES]El trabajo analiza la Iglesia castellana y sus relaciones con el resto de los poderes durante el reinado de Juan I de Castilla. Examina tanto las decisiones de la monarquía en materia religiosa como la influencia de los eclesiásticos en la vida política del reino. Estudia particularmente el caso de la Diócesis de Salamanca.

[EN]The paper analyzes the Spanish Church and its relations with other powers under the reign of Juan I of Castile. It examines both decisions by the monarchy on religious matters and the influence of the Church in the political life of the kingdom. In particular, it studies the case of the Diocese of Salamanca.
