Las Exploradoras en Italia, cien años de historia educativa (1912-2012)

Abstract

Robert Baden Powell, fundador del movimiento scout en el Reino Unido en 1907, y su hermana Agnes, tras la demanda recibida por parte de un grupo de mujeres jóvenes en el Palacio de Cristal de Londres en 1909, apoyaron durante los años 1910, 1911 y 1912 las iniciativas surgidas en muy diversas zonas de la tierra para la implantación del Escultismo en su versión femenina. Italia fue uno de los países que acogió actividades de las Exploradoras en la primera etapa de su andadura. En las celebraciones del Centenario se recuerda la historia vivida por mujeres que hicieron gala de una inmensa dedicación y valentía, consiguiendo mantener viva la llama del Escultismo Femenino, incluso en situaciones extremadamente difíciles como fueron las dos guerras mundiales, las dos postguerras y una larga dictadura.

Centenary celebrations in recalling the history experienced by women who had demonstrated a tremendous dedication and courage; getting keep alive the flame of Scouting; even in situations extremely difficult as were the two world wars; the two postwar years and a long dictatorship.
