Levinas, Pío XI y la «comunidad de la persecución» contra el paganismo nacionalsocialista

Abstract

[ES] En «Quelques réflexions sur la philosophie de l’hitlérisme» (1934) y frente al ascenso del nazismo al poder, Levinas exhorta a las tradiciones de Occidente, desde el judaísmo al marxismo, a reflexionar sobre sus fuentes, intuición y decisión originarias, sobre el «espíritu de libertad» que las anima, frente al despertar de los «sentimientos elementales» por parte del «hitlerismo». Unos años más tarde, en sus artículos de Paix et Droit (1935-1939), el filósofo convoca a una alianza judeo-cristiana contra el «paganismo» nacionalsocialista. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar este llamado de Levinas a una lucha conjunta entre la «Iglesia» e «Israel», en virtud de una presunta «vocación» o «razón de ser» compartida, contra el «neopaganismo» racista, así como las dificultades y equívocos de la empresa levinasiana. This work aims to analyze Levinas’ call to a joint struggle between the «Church» and «Israel», in virtue of an alleged shared «vocation» or «reason of being», against the racist «neo-paganism», and the difficulties and ambiguities of the levinasian initiative.
