[EN]This article analyzes the frequent projection of childhood in the Hispanic Microfiction, and highlights the presence of the child as theme, character and narrator in it. The main themes in these texts are analyzed: childhood as a lost paradise, the value of initiatory experiences, and child as a subaltern subject. The rhetorical strategies that define the child –“infans” meaning “he who can’t speak”– are mentioned too: ellipses of his discourse, use of images and sensory referents and choice of present and perfect tenses. All of then emphasize the tension inherent to childhood, and link this period of life with the practice of microfiction
