Introduction: Neuropathic pain occurs on account of the affectation of the somatosensory system. This symptomatology has a multifactorial etiology and is characterized by the presence of parestesias, desesthesias and allodynia. Pain tends to chronicity if it doesn´t receive the appropriate treatment, appearing between 7-10% of the population. Both manual therapy and therapeutic exercise are physiotherapeutic methods currently used in the management of neuropathic pain. They include a series of techniques capable of acting at pain level and in other parameters. Objectives: To analyze the effectiveness of manual therapy in the treatment of neuropathic pain and to verify which manual therapy technique is more effective. Just as analyzing the effectiveness of therapeutic exercise in a complementary way to manual therapy. Methods: A systematic bibliographic search and review of clinical trials was conducted in Spanish, French and English using Pubmed, PEDro and WOS databases Results: 530 articles were identified in the bibliographic research. Only 21 articles from this search were included in the systematic review. Concerning manual therapy, the technique that achieved the best results was neural mobilization. The techniques of manipulation and massage were also beneficial in the management of pain. Regarding the therapeutic exercise, it also demonstrated its effectiveness with the reduction of neuropathic pain in the patient treated in a multidisciplinary way. Conclusion: Manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, applied in a complementary way to it, are one of the treatment methods indicated in neuropathic pain, provided that they are specifically adjust to the patient and his pathology.
