Resumen
Introducción: la dieta mediterránea ha demostrado ser un factor protector frente a diversas enfermedades. Varios estudios afirman que las redes sociales son un método efectivo para proporcionar información a los jóvenes y conseguir una aproximación al patrón de dieta saludable. Sin embargo, hay autores que sostienen que habría que profundizar más en el tema para obtener datos sólidos.
Objetivo: evaluar el efecto de una intervención basada en el uso de las redes sociales para mejorar la adherencia a la dieta mediterránea en población adolescente con sobrepeso u obesidad.
Material y métodos: ensayo controlado aleatorizado con dos grupos. Se incluirá un total de 140 sujetos de entre 15 y 19 años con sobrepeso u obesidad. Los participantes serán seleccionados en las consultas de atención primaria y, mediante aleatorización, serán asignados a grupo intervención o grupo control. Se proporcionará un consejo común a ambos grupos sobre los beneficios de tener una dieta saludable. Además, el grupo experimental participará en un programa de asesoramiento nutricional a través de Facebook de 12 semanas. La variable de resultado principal será el cambio en la adherencia a la dieta mediterránea, que se evaluará mediante el cuestionario MEDAS. Se solicitará autorización al Comité Ético de Investigación con Medicamentos de Salamanca.
