La sillería coral de la catedral de Ciudad Rodrigo

Abstract

[ES] El trabajo estudia la sillería coral de la Catedral de Ciudad Rodrigo. Se realiza una descripción formal e iconográfica del espacio coral teniendo en cuenta que las variaciones dependen de los usos y funciones. Tras ello se realiza un breve estado de la cuestión y una investigación de las problemáticas que han suscitado las tintas de los historiadores. Se especifican las singularidades del espacio coral y de sumo interés es el novedoso acercamiento metodológico al estalo episcopal. Las posibles modificaciones del artefacto artístico concluyen dicha investigacion. Una extensa bibliografía así como diversos recursos fotográficos ayudan a la comprensión total de la temática [EN] This study examines the choral stalls of the Cathedral in Ciudad Rodrigo. A formal and iconographic description of the choral space is made, taking into account that the variations depend on the uses and functions. After this, a brief revision of the topic under question is made as well as an investigation of the questions raised by historians. The singularities of the choral space are specified and the novel methodological approach to the episcopal state is of great interest. The study concludes with the possible modifications of the artistic artifact. Extensive references as well as various photographic resources help to fully understand the subject.
