Modelos matemáticos utilizados en análisis de supervivencia.

Abstract

[ES]El análisis de supervivencia estudia la variable tiempo hasta que sucede un evento de interés (fallo, muerte, recaída). Por otra parte, es usual realizar experimentos encaminados a estudiar una posible relación entre el tiempo de supervivencia de un individuo y una covariable. Para ello es conveniente utilizar las técnicas específicas del análisis de supervivencia puesto que los datos procedentes de este tipo de estudios muestran unas características propias, como por ejemplo la posible presencia de datos censurados. En este trabajo se estudiarán los principales modelos matemáticos utilizados en el estudio de la variable "tiempo hasta un evento", para discernir si una o más covariables, no dependientes del tiempo, influyen en el tiempo de supervivencia.

[EN]Survival analysis studies the variable time to the occurrence of an event of interest (failure, death, relapse). On the other hand, it is usual to carry out experiments aimed at studying a possible relationship between the survival time of an individual and a covariate. For this purpose, it is convenient to use the specific techniques of survival analysis, since the data from this type of study have their own character istics, such as the possible presence of censored data. In this paper we will study the main mathematical models used in the study of the variable "time to an event", in order to discern whether one or more covariates, not dependent on time, influence survival time
