[EN] Social Sciences involve the daily life of an adult person. They are in the values of a society,
the economy, maps, weather, atmospheric phenomena, history, etc. However, how much
importance is given to Social Sciences in Early Childhood Education? Not too much, because
literacy and logical mathematics prevail over Social Sciences, but... why not unite them
interdisciplinary?
This TFG includes a Didactic Unit which introduce geography in infant education, through
interdisciplinary work between subjects, taking as a starting point a children's adaptation of
the novel Around the World in 80 Days. The TFG starts with a theory point which explains
the importance given to Social Sciences in the LOMLOE, it also explains the different ways
of teaching Social Sciences in Early Childhood education and the interdisciplinary work of the
S.S. with Literature and ICT. Next, there are a project of twenty activities based on active and
innovative methodologies that tries to bring geography closer to students in a significant way
using new technologies and literature as the main teaching resource. Finally, there are
reflections on the achievement of objectives and the limitations of the TFG.
