| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] This research work constitutes a contribution to the study of text comprehension, especially academic texts. Due to the relevance of the topic, this paper analyzes the current state of comprehension and the possibility of including improvements that facilitate the processes involved in reaching a global and coherent textual representation. The aim is to give visibility to the work of students when comprehending academic texts and, therefore, expository texts, due to their complexity. It also aims to contribute to current studies on this textual typology, in order to improve its comprehension at the Primary Education stage. For this purpose, a comparative study has been carried out to evaluate the effect of a representational aid on the comprehension level of students who benefit from it, compared to those who do not. The results of this study have made it possible to test the usefulness of a representational aid on the level of comprehension achieved by the students, by means of a test that evaluates their reading comprehension. The results obtained are promising, although not with the expected significance in some cases, and some limitations such as increasing the number of participants in the study or taking into account other variables, suggest the need for further research to establish more evident and generalizable conclusions on comprehension. | en_EN |
