Las pinturas alpestres de la Penya de l'Ermita del Vicari (Altea, Alicante)

Abstract

[ES] La zona central mediterránea de la Península Ibérica cuenta con un nuevo descubrimiento de Arte Rupestre Postpaleolítico en su versión esquemática. Las manifestaciones pintadas se revelan de gran interés al existir representaciones antropomorfas bitriangulares y oculadas, desconocidas en las variantes tipológicas al uso, asociadas a soliformes, zigzags, puntiformes y grupos de barras paralelas. La complejidad compositiva y figurativa, con un fuerte componente simbólico, indican la existencia de creencias difícilmente comprensibles desde nuestros conocimientos actuales. En los últimos años, este arte se fecha a partir del V milenio a.C. hasta el II milenio a.C, según los paralelos muebles del contexto arqueológico.

[EN] A new discovery in Post Paleolithic Schematic Rock Art has been made in the central Mediterranean zone of the Iberian Peninsula. The Paintings are very interesting due to the presence of bitriangular anthropomorphic representations and idols, unknown before in typologies, usually associated to sunforms, zigzags, dots and groups of paralells bars. The complexity in figuration and composition and the strong symbolic component show the existence of beliefs not easily understandable with our present knowledge. In the present state of research this art is dated from the V millennium BC to the II millennium BC on the basis of comparisons with mobiliary art from an archeological context.
