Resumen
Los lupinos amargos son más adaptables y presentan una mayor resistencia a plagas y agentes patógenos que las especies dulces. Sin embargo, su alto contenido en alcaloides le resta competitividad en el mercado exterior (LÓPEZ-BELLIDO, 1986; PASCUAL, 1986). Una solución a este problema es la aplicación de técnicas de desamargado, pero presenta dos problemas importantes, un elevado coste y un residuo fuertemente contaminante. Por ello en nuestro laboratorio, hemos iniciado una serie de trabajos que tienen como objetivo la búsqueda de posibles vías de utilización de los alcaloides de las especies de Lupino (MUZQUIZ & DE LA CUADRA, 1988; DE LA CUADRA et al, 1990). Una de las vías de utilización propuestas es el empleo de dichos alcaloides como fungicidas (TYSKI et al, 1988), por lo que hemos seleccionado cuatro conocidas especies patógenas de hongos a fin de ensayar dicha capacidad fungicida.
