A joint set of paleohertetological data relating the Duero basin are offered, in this region, the most representative fauna is that of the chelonians (Pelomedusidae, Carettochelydae, Trionychidae) and crocodiles (Genera Iberosuchus, Asiatosuchus and Diplocynodon).
An attempt is made to define the tropic chains at the different levels: the results suggest that in the “Sanzoles” level (the lowest of the Eocene), there were two; these have been denominated “Casaseca” (fluvial) and “Cubillos-Valdegallina” (Interfluvial).
In view of the paleogeographic characteristics, we consider that a comparison of their paleofauna with another currier type is more likely to be a reflection of that carried out on the borders of the Great Amozarian Basin than with any other.
