Resumen
[ES] El fin de este estudio, de tipo cualitativo, se centra en el planteamiento de una cuestión principal ¿Existe discriminación en la profesión de Enfermería? Y si es así ¿de qué tipo, a qué se debe, cuáles son las propuestas para la mejora? Según las fuentes bibliográficas consultadas, y la propia experiencia adquirida en la relación con otros colegas, se aprecia un sentimiento generalizado de discriminación en el imaginario enfermero.
El trabajo se estructura en cuatro secciones complementarias entre sí. En primer lugar, los antecedentes históricos permiten comprender la evolución de una profesión heterogénea, donde las diferencias de género han estado presentes desde sus comienzos. El segundo capítulo, plantea si la enfermería cumple los criterios sociológicos y jurídicos que se atribuyen, en la actualidad, a las profesiones. En la siguiente sección, se analiza si existe discriminación generada por las cuestiones de género, en una profesión mayoritariamente femenina. Por último, se indaga sobre las oportunidades de promoción que otorga la normativa jurídica, para el desarrollo presente y futuro de la profesión. En el apartado de conclusiones se aportan además una serie de propuestas propias, concordantes con la visión de las autoras y autores citados en este estudio. [EN] The purpose of this study, qualitative, focuses on the approach to a main issue there any discrimination in the nursing profession? And if so what kind, what they should, what are the proposals for improvement? According to the bibliographic sources consulted, and the experience gained in the relationship with colleagues, we see a widespread sense of discrimination in the imaginary nurse.
The work is divided into four sections complementary. First, the historical background to understanding the evolution of a diverse profession, where gender differences have been present since its inception. The second chapter, asks whether the nurse meets the sociological and legal criteria that are attributed, at present, to the professions. In the next section discusses whether discrimination caused by gender, in a predominantly female profession. Finally, we explore the opportunities for promotion that gives legal regulations for the present and future development of the profession. In the last section will also provide a number of proposals of its own, consistent with the vision of the authors and authors cited in this study.
