Resumen
[ES]El presente trabajo pretende, a partir de una presentación de los principios ideológicos que sustentaron el golpe de estado de 1964 en Brasil, mostrar los lazos existentes entre esta ideología y sus objetivos, así como la legislación y su ejecución por el órgano estatal indigenista, conocido por su siglas: FUNAI. En la época se fue creando un marco legal que por escrito respetaba las tierras y la forma de vida de las poblaciones nativas, regulación que estaba plagada de vacíos y ambigüedades. Ello permitió la aplicación de medidas agresivas que favorecieron el cumplimiento de los citados objetivos ideológicos del gobierno, en detrimento de los propios pueblos indígenas. En muchos casos, la FUNAI funcionó como un brazo ejecutor de los gobiernos militares (y los grupos de poder que le rodeaban). Esta conexión se observa a partir del estudio de textos de la época, denuncias, documentos archivísticos y periodísticos, que demuestran tal línea de actuación de la institución.
