Patología vocal valorada en la unidad de foniatría del hospital virgen de la concha de Zamora durante el año 2009

Abstract

[EN] Phoniatrics Unit of the Hospital Virgen de la Concha has been running since 1992‐93. It consists of a medical language therapist, a speech therapist and an auxiliary reference.The relationship with the ENT service is narrow and very fluid. In the year 2009 in the Unit responded to a total of 1563 patients, of whom 776 were referred for various services such as ENT, Neurology, Primary Care, Pediatrics etc ... for assessment and 787 were revisions of previously diagnosed patients in the office of Phonology. The total number of patients suffering from vocal problems (new + revisions) totaled 852, and the number of patients suffering from other diseases such as aphasia, impaired language development, stuttering, hearing loss etc. 711. Patients who started speech therapy rehabilitation in that year were 224 (14, 33% of cases handled in speech therapy). The high activity granted medical speech therapy were 228 patients of which 50 dropped out voluntarily for various reasons of a personal nature. In this communication is a breakdown of the type of voice pathologies that have been sent to assess and professionals who have requested services that benefit the Speech Therapy Unit of the Complex Care of Zamora.

[ES] La Unidad de Foniatria del Hospital Virgen de la Concha lleva en funcionamiento desde 1992‐ 93. Está integrada por una médico foníatra, una logopeda y una auxiliar de consultas. La relación con el Servicio de ORL es estrecha y muy fluída. En el año 2009 en dicha Unidad se atendieron un total de 1563 pacientes, de ellos 776 fueron remitidos por diversos servicios como ORL, Neurología, Atención Primaria, Pediatría etc... para valoración y 787 fueron revisiones de pacientes previamente diagnosticados en la consulta de Foniatría. El número total de pacientes afectos de problemas vocales (nuevos + revisiones) ascendió a un total de 852, siendo el número de pacientes afectos de otras patologías como afasias, alteraciones en el desarrollo del lenguaje, disfemias, hipoacusias etc de 711. Los pacientes que iniciaron rehabilitación logopédica en dicho año fueron 224 (14, 33 % de las consultas atendidas en foniatría). Las altas médicas otorgadas de la actividad logopédica fueron de 228 pacientes de los que 50 la abandonaron voluntariamente por diversas causas de índole personal. Se presenta en esta comunicación un desglose del tipo de patologías de la voz que se han remitido para valorar y los profesionales y Servicios que han solicitado dicha prestación a la Unidad de Foniatría del Complejo Asistencial de Zamora.
