La revisión histórica en "La lunga vita di Marianna Ucrìa"

Abstract

[ES]El presente trabajo se desarrolla en torno a la revisión histórica de la novela La lunga vita di Marianna Ucrìa, de la escritora italiana Dacia Maraini. El estudio pone especial atención, por un lado, a la novela histórica italiana (desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad) y a la femenina (muy importante en muchas de las obras de Maraini y especialmente en esta); y por otro, a la época histórica en la que se desarrolla el relato: la elección del siglo XVIII como momento de grandes cambios en la vida social, política, económica o filosófica. Marianna se verá influenciada por la Ilustración que llega a Sicilia de la mano de escritores como Hume, Locke o Voltaire.

[EN]The present work is developed around the historical review of the novel La lunga vita di Marianna Ucrìa, by Italian writer Dacia Maraini. Firstly, the study pays special attention to the Italian historical novel (from its beginnings to present) and to the female (most relevant in many Maraini’s works and specially in this one); and secondly, it focus on the historical period in which the story takes place: the choice of the eighteenth century as a time of great changes in the social, political, economic or philosophical life. Marianna will be influenced by the Enlightenment which arrives at Sicily by writers such as Hume, Locke or Voltaire.
