La historia del currículum constituye en la actualidad en España un objeto de investigación relativamente autónomo dentro del campo de la Historia de la Educación. Dicho objeto sería introducido y desarrollado en España en la década de los 90 gracias, principalmente, a la difusión de las investigaciones que se llevaron a cabo en EE. UU. y Gran Bretaña, lugar donde los llamados «estudios del currículum » han tenido gran importancia. En este artículo se sintetizan y revisan las principales investigaciones estadounidenses y británicas centradas en la historia del currículum. Además, se realizan una serie de consideraciones sobre sus aspectos teóricos y metodológicos para ver lo que dichos estudios pueden aportar a los historiadores de la educación españoles.
The Curriculum History is currently in Spain a relatively autonomous research object within the field of History of Education. This object would be introduced and developed in Spain in the 1990’s through the dissemination of the research being conducted in the US and Britain, where so-called «curriculum studies» have been important. This paper summarizes and reviews the main US and British investigations focused on the history of curriculum. Furthermore, there are some considerations about its theoretical and methodological aspects to see what can bring these studies to the Spanish historians of education.
