El Pontificio Colegio de la Sapiencia de Mallorca durante el siglo XVII: constituciones y colegiales

Abstract

This paper seeks to make known the Pontifical College of la Sapiencia of Majorca throughout their sources since its founding in 1633 until 1700. Some especial attention is deserved to the Constitutions of the Centre, compared with the Constitutions of Presentation College of Valencia. The article discusses particularly College life, Studies and Visits. The document is intended as a contribution to the academic and ecclesiastical history that provides a better understanding of Majorcan training institutions in the seventeenth century.

Este escrito pretende dar a conocer el Pontificio Colegio de la Sapiencia de Mallorca a partir de sus fuentes desde su fundación en 1633 hasta 1700. Se atiende especialmente a las Constituciones del Centro, comparadas con el Colegio de la Presentación de Valencia y se analiza la vida colegial, los estudios y las visitas. El escrito pretende ser una contribución a la historia académica y eclesiástica de Mallorca que permite comprender mejor las instituciones formativas en el siglo XVII.
