dc.description.abstract | [ES] El interés principal del presente estudio es revelar, de una forma objetiva, las características y la introducción del objeto de terror en el nuevo género cinematográfico conocido como “J-Horror”. El trabajo también realiza una comparación del mismo género entre las producciones de Japón y de Corea del Sur, a base de un muestreo aleatorio de 30 películas, todas posteriores a 1998. Dentro del campo de estudio, el presente análisis constituye el primer acercamiento al contenido fílmico contemporáneo de terror de Asia Oriental que utiliza una metodología cuantitativa. De este modo, basado en observaciones y criterios objetivos, el trabajo facilitará la examinación de los valores y artefactos culturales todavía presentes en la cinematografía de terror contemporánea. | es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] The main focus of the present paper is to reveal, in an objective manner, the characteristics and the introduction of the object of terror into the new cinematographic genre known as “J-Horror”. The present study also makes a comparison of the same genre between the Japanese and the South Korean productions, on the base of a random sample of 30 films, all of them produced after 1998. Within the field of study, the present analysis constitutes the first approach to the cinematographic content of the contemporary Eastern Asian horror films, using a quantitative methodology. In this manner, based on objective observations and objectives, the paper will facilitate the further examination of cultural values and artifacts still present in the contemporary horror cinematography. | |
