Kitāb al-istibṣār fī ʿaŷāʾib al-amṣār: aproximación a una obra histórica del siglo XII: una recreación legendaria de Egipto

Abstract

[ES]Aproximación a la obra anónima Kitāb al-istibṣār fī ʿaŷāʾib al-amṣār en la cual se recogen crónicas y anécdotas de diversos lugares del mundo islámico en época almohade.En este sentido, tomando como fuente principal esta obra, y más concretamente su parte relativa a Egipto, presentaré una visión de las leyendas que se han forjado en torno a las maravillas de la civilización faraónica, desde el punto de vista de la historiografía árabe medieval, y realizaré asimismo una aproximación ideológica a la imagen que se tenía de aquel lugar.[EN]Approach to the anonymous work Kitāb al-istibṣār fī ʿaŷāʾib al-amṣār which contains chronicles and anecdotes from different places of the Islamic world in the Almohad period. In this regard, I will take this work as main source, and specifically its part concerning Egypt, and I will show a vision of the legends created relating to the wonders of the Pharaonic civilisation, from the point of view of Medieval Arabic historiography. Additionally, I will carry out an ideologica approach to the perception that people had about Ancien Egypt in the Middle Ages.
