Actitudes de los futuros profesionales de la educación hacia la discapacidad. Necesidades formativas

Abstract

[ES]El objetivo de este estudio consiste en conocer cuáles son las actitudes y las necesidades formativas hacia la discapacidad y la atención a la diversidad de los futuros profesionales del ámbito de la educación, en concreto de maestros, pedagogos, educadores sociales y profesores de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato. Participaron 392 universitarios de las Titulaciones de Grado en Maestro de Educación Infantil, Maestro de Educación Primaria, Pedagogía y Educación Social, así como alumnos del Máster "MUPES". Se aplicó la Escala de actitudes hacia la discapacidad (Verdugo, Arias y Jenaro, 1994, 2000, 2016) para obtener el perfil actitudinal general, así como comprobar las hipótesis del estudio en relación a las variables que inciden en las actitudes. Los resultados indican que la formación recibida y el contacto con la discapacidad influyen positivamente en las actitudes hacia la discapacidad, así como la existencia de diferencias significativas entre las Titulaciones del Grado, siendo los futuros Educadores Sociales quienes tienen actitudes más favorables. El trabajo recoge cómo los universitarios que han formado parte del mismo destacan la importancia de las barreras políticas, formativas y didácticas para trabajar y/o intervenir con alumnado con discapacidad, así como la necesidad de una formación curricular en diseño para todas las personas.

[EN]The aim of this study is to know what are the attitudes and the training needs towards disability and the attention to diversity of the future educational professionals, in detail teachers, pedagogues, social educators and High School teachers. There were 392 university students of the following degrees: Early Childhood Education, Teaching in Primary Education, Pedagogics, and Social Education, as well as the alumni of the "MUPES" Master's Degree. The Scale of Attitudes Towards Disability (Verdugo, Arias y Jenaro, 1994, 2000, 2016) was applied to obtain an overall attitudinal profile, as well as to prove the assumptions of the study with regard to the factors underscoring those attitudes. The results indicate that the training received, having contact with disability, and the significant differences between the Bachelor's degree Titulations exert a positive influence on the attitudes towards disability, being the Social Educators those with more positive attitudes. This work collects how the students being part of it emphasize on the importance of the politic, educational, and didactic barriers to work and/or to intervene with disabled students, as well as the need of a "Design for all" curriculum training.
